Our Services

Individual therapy sessions for adult clients who are residents of North Carolina and Michigan.

All sessions are held virtually through telehealth services using HIPAA compliant video platform.

  • Individual therapy sessions for adults seeking a safe, confidential, and authentic space for processing and discussing areas of life, experiences, and relationships. During therapy we may explore parts of your lived experience that have developed narratives, beliefs, or ways of being that you feel are preventing you from living how you would rather live. In individual therapy we work to identify what is helping you and what is getting in the way, so that you may use your insights, awareness, and skills to create meaningful change outside of the therapy space.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is for individuals seeking an approach to work with and reduce their symptoms experienced due to past experiences. During EMDR therapy we will explore what aspects of your experiences have informed your internal life, relational patterns, what skills have kept you safe, and what is no longer serving you. Through EMDR we may target specific memories, learn adaptive skillsets, and build relational strengths to begin reprocessing, adapting, and regulating the nervous system so that your lived experience is one that feels authentic and best suited for you.

  • Exposure and Response Prevention is considered the “gold standard” for Obsessive Compulsive disorder. ERP is a modality that targets areas of our life we have difficulty tolerating uncertainty in, so that we may learn to live a values based and ego-syntonic life. During therapy utilizing ERP, we may explore areas of uncertainty, conditioned inappropriate responsibility, our responses to anxious and intrusive thoughts, and discover how we may approach, experience, and tolerate the uncertainties our brains have a difficult time with. Therapy utilizing ERP involves psychoeducation around nervous system functioning, our hyperarousal and regulatory states, personal awareness of assertive rights, relationships, communication, and meaningful exposures that are relevant to your goals. We learn to help our bodies, brains, and selves in order to live meaningful lives while tolerating the faulty messages and urgent questions our brain gives us, so that we can live our values and take back our time, relationships, and authentic identity outside of what our brains have been conditioned to focus on and fear.

  • My work with young adults includes exploring identity, life transitions through college, early career, significant relationships, and life adjustments. In my work with young adults that there is an immense opportunity for therapy at this stage to explore the narratives we’re given, what’s working, what we hope to change and do differently, and how we can grow towards a life that feels authentic. If you’re a young adult hoping to shed mistaken beliefs, better understand your anxieties and relationships, and discover ways to authentically approach your personal life, I would love to hear from you and learn more about how I can help.

  • Therapy specifically for the challenges women face may include ERP and EMDR modalities as well as an eclectic approach with the therapeutic relationships at the center. My work with women at varying stages of life, relationships, and personal experience, has informed this practice to better understand the nuances in cultural and societal expectations, overlapping experiences, and personal desires for things we’ve often been taught next to nothing about. I would love to hear your story, explore your hopes for your future, and see how we can work together to help you leave behind beliefs, anxieties, narratives, and ways of being no longer serving you and how we can build sustainable, meaningful ways of existing so that your life feels authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with your goals.

  • Working with individuals hoping to explore their identity and determine what is best for them includes any individual looking to gain insight and adaptive processing of learned and internalized beliefs and ways of approaching relationships, life, and internal conflict. So much of what we are told and the messaging we receive growing up stays with us as a sort of script. Then, one day, we often notice our skills we developed to help us move forward in life might be getting in the way of us being us. If you’d like to meet to explore what is working, what’s getting in your way, and how you’d rather live and experience your life in a way that feels deeply authentic, functional, and fulfilling, I would love to talk more and see how I can help.

  • I love working with individuals coming in to discuss and explore their relationships. Our relationships with ourselves, our partners, family members, friends, environment, habits, and so much more, inform our lives and can have the greatest impact on how we experience life day to day. As a relational therapist I deeply value the therapeutic relationships clients and I build through our work together and find this area of my work has had an immense immense impact informing my work, continuing my education, and helping clients find healing and happiness in their own relationships outside of our sessions. If you’re hoping to explore your relationships further, I would love to hear from you and learn more about how my experience and specialties can help you build a way of experiencing your relationships that feels truly authentic and fulfilling.

Location

All sessions are held virtually through telehealth. Meet from the comfort and convenience of your space in an environment that works best for you. Many individuals find telehealth to be a great fit for sessions due to it’s flexibility, convenience, and adaptable nature. As a therapist trained in, practicing, and continuing education around EMDR and ERP, I have found and research has shown both modalities to be effective and adaptable for both in person and online implementation.
