What are your session rates and format of sessions?
The format of all sessions is virtual through telehealth. I am currently only able to meet with clients who reside in North Carolina and Michigan due to licensure requirements.
Individual sessions may range between 30 minutes and 90 minutes - this is dependent on the unique needs, requests, and client goals, and is dependent on the plan we build collaboratively.
Research has shown therapy yields consistent results when started at a weekly basis. However, therapists and clients discuss the potential benefits and outcomes with session frequency to adapt and meet the needs of each client. Session frequency is a maintained component that may be discussed at any point in therapy as our needs and life circumstances change.
Session rates range based on the type of therapy provided, the length of sessions (ex: 45 minutes), and client plan of therapy. Rates range from $120-$250.
EMDR therapy, ERP for OCD, talk therapy, and psychoeducational modalities all differ in how session format, approach, and integration apply. The format of sessions is something I like to discuss with clients in relation to their hopes for therapy, so that we may structure our time in session, and their out of session opportunities for integration, to build a schedule that works best for their goals.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept insurance through Headway and am able to accept the following insurances in both North Carolina and Michigan
Aetna, Anthem EAP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health,
For individuals who select self-pay for session payment I accept American Express, Mastercard, Discover, and Visa forms of payment through Simple Practice.
Active therapy participation (meeting weekly or monthly for sessions) is completely dependent on each unique need and life circumstance of every individual. Through my experience, amount of time meeting can be impacted by the modality utilized, such as EMDR therapy, ERP for OCD, and IFS, and can also be impacted by the goals each individual comes to therapy for.
I hold an immense appreciation and respect for the value in building and maintaining a therapeutic alliance through years of meeting with individuals, and also respect and greatly appreciate that therapy is only as beneficial as it is meeting the needs of the individual participating in it.
I am open to meeting with clients as long as we determine it is therapeutic. Whether that means a few weeks, or over months that grow into years, I am here to continue holding space for individuals that choose to resume sessions at later dates, as well as for individuals who hope to meet at a weekly cadence indefinitely.
We may take certain times of the year “off” while travel increases or life circumstances change, and we may utilize the therapeutic space for specific challenges you hope to address as they present. Sometimes we begin our journey with therapy by addressing one thing that is coming up, and then decide to continue with other current life challenges or situational experiences you would like support through, and that is completely acceptable. I will continue maintaining licensure in both North Carolina and Michigan and invite clients to reach out if they would like to take time off or in the future resume meeting again.
Your journey is yours, it’s my privilege to hold space for when you need it, and walk with you through it.
